Colour & Size

A gorgeous light fawn brindle and white, she likely carries blue as well. Maxi is a moderate size of 47cm with a lovely light build and fine bone.

Instinct

Maxi is much the same as her mother Nez in every way when it comes to instinct, she absolutely loves to chase and let's you know the whole time she's chasing!

What We Love

There's so much to love about our special Maxi, from her bubbly and sweet personality to the way she moves so effortlessly in the ring. She's taken all of the qualties I love in Nez, and combined them with the qualities of her father in the best way. She has a beautiful front construction, a lovely topline, really everything about her is beautifully balanced but her amazing personality truely takes the cake!

Meet Makio

Makio, or “Max” as she’s known at home, is one of the easiest dogs to live with. Calm, affectionate, and quietly quirky, she’s happiest curled up in bed snoozing the day away. She fits into home life so effortlessly, always close by but never demanding. That said, if you grab a toy, she’s instantly up for a game, especially if it involves fetch. She’ll trot around proudly with her prize in her mouth, making the funniest little roo-roo sounds that make everyone smile.

As a youngster, Makio had a fantastic start to her show career, picking up multiple Class in Show wins and earning lovely comments for her beautiful side gait and balance. Unfortunately, her time in the ring was cut short when she needed surgery to remove a foreign object. Recovery took several months, with a delayed suture absorption slowing things down even more. But true to her nature, she bounced back with determination, and we were beyond proud to see her return to the ring in 2025, taking out Best Junior in Show at the Whippet and Greyhound Specialty in a very competitive lineup.

Makio has also recently made her debut in lure coursing. After a slow and steady start, she’s now earned her Junior Courser title and passed her Qualifying Certificate run, meaning she’s cleared to run in Open Stakes. She’s proving to be just as much her mother’s daughter on the field, keen, focused, and full of joy once she’s running.

Makio’s gentle nature, steady drive, and natural elegance make her a really special young bitch. We’re so excited to see where she takes us next.
