At Ashsinhalt Whippets, there is nothing we love more than seeing the dogs we have bred out in the world, doing what they love and making their families proud. The Ashsinhalt Team is made up of wonderful owners who have embraced their whippets not just as companions, but as teammates in a variety of sports and activities.
This page is a tribute to those dogs and their people, a little hall of fame, dedicated to these amazing dogs and their families! Whether they have earned a lure coursing title, won in the show ring, or reached a meaningful goal together, each of them holds a special place in our hearts. We are proud of all that they have achieved and grateful for the homes they are so deeply loved in.
We have always believed that whippets are capable of so much more than just looking beautiful. They are smart, athletic, eager to please, and happiest when they are part of your life. We breed with purpose, with the goal of producing whippets that have the drive, confidence, and soundness to enjoy whatever comes their way.

Firstly, a special highlight story of the Amazing Annie
Annie

Annie is out of our Rikka and Lucky “Kakegurui” litter born in 2022 and is owned and deeply loved by Emma of Chasebrook Whippets in Western Australia.
From the very beginning, Annie stood out. She was our pick of the litter, bold, tenacious, and a little firecracker with an enormous love for the lure. She had that spark that made her impossible to overlook. Originally, we had chosen a different puppy from the litter for Emma, but just before she was meant to fly out, an unfortunate accident left that puppy unfit to travel. While it was difficult news at the time, we had already grown to trust Emma completely through the process of her waiting for her puppy. It felt only natural to offer her our special girl instead. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we've ever made. Emma embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly, and what she and Annie went on to achieve together has been nothing short of remarkable.
Emma stepped into the show ring with Annie and had great fun, but it was on the lure coursing field where they truly found their rhythm. From the start, Annie brought something special to the west. Her drive, confidence and natural talent quickly set her apart in the lure coursing field. She earned her Singles Field Champion title with ease winning almost every High In Trial she entered, and was the very first dog in WA to gain a Singles Field Champion title! As soon as she entered the open stakes, Annie made an unforgettable impression, winning High in Trial and Best in Field at nearly every trial she entered.
Her success didn’t stop there. Annie took the Sprint Dog world by storm, becoming the fastest whippet in Australia at the time, and the fastest dog in WA overall. That title has since passed to her own half sister, Daizy, also owned by Emma, but Annie’s legacy as a top competitor remains strong.
In late 2024, Annie suffered a fibrocartilaginous embolism (FCE) that left her suddenly paralysed during a Sprint Dog trial. Just days later, during an MRI, she went into cardiac arrest. Miraculously, after 20 minutes of CPR, she came back. Her recovery journey has been nothing short of incredible. Though she is still working toward walking again, she continues to make steady progress, thanks to Emma’s unshakable commitment, endless love, and tireless dedication to her girl.
We are endlessly proud of both Emma and Annie. Their story is one of resilience, heart, and pure determination. Emma has shown us that everything happens for a reason, and that sometimes, the most unexpected turns lead to the most beautiful outcomes.

Peter was the very first Ashsinhalt dog to earn his Junior Courser title, and we will always be grateful to his owner for taking a chance and trying something new. Peter ran with heart in both Open and Singles stakes and brought so much joy to his family and those cheering him on.

Luna didn’t get to enter trials due to her owner’s work commitments, but she made the most of every fun run opportunity, chasing the lure with enthusiasm and delighting everyone who watched.

Skye may not have entered formal sports, but she’s excelled at what she was meant for – becoming an exceptional little rabbit dog for her family and keeping her natural instincts sharp. Tynk has been an absolute standout in both Lure Coursing and Flyball. She earned her Sprint Dog titles in just five events, already holds a Best In Field win, and consistently runs with top speeds. In Flyball, she’s just as brilliant, with her Flyball Dog Excellence title already under her belt. Her drive, focus, and love for the game are a credit to her wonderful owner who has supported her every step of the way.
Skadi - Ashsinhalt Shinzou Wo Sasageyo JC. N.SPRD. SPRD.

Skadi has overcome setbacks with such heart. After an early injury, her owner Jesse poured time, love, and effort into her rehab. Watching Skadi return stronger and faster, now with a Best In Field win under her belt, fills us with pride, we love to see their bond together. Their partnership is a testament to trust, patience, and perseverance.
Myx - Ashsinhalt Dokoni Ite Mo JC.

Myx has been having an absolute ball discovering lure coursing with her owner. She quickly earned her JC and can now run in Open with heart and style. Their steady progress and joy in the sport have been so rewarding to follow, and we know there’s more success still to come and can't wait to watch!

Bucky and his owner have been a powerhouse team right from the start. He earned his first Rally title at just six months old and now holds multiple titles at such a young age, all with exceptional scores. Their dedication to training is phenomenal and has been awe inspiring. With Flyball now in progress and lure coursing on the horizon, this team is only just getting started and we couldn’t be prouder and more excited for their future together!
Barley - Ashsinhalt Soul

Barley was more than just a whippet – he was a true partner to his owner on the farm, travelling 150 kilometres each day helping to control pests. He loved his work and did it with all his heart. Tragically, Barley passed doing what he was loved to do. His memory and the pride we feel in all he accomplished will never fade.
