Hito is a beautiful Light Fawn, just like his mother, and potentially carries the blue gene. Although he is stil growing, we are expecting him to mature at 49-50cm, based on his puppy heights in comparison to our other boys!
Instinct
He has shown lovely instinct already at a young age, although we havent done much lure work with him, he has a stronger prey drive than his brother and resembles that of his mother's drive.
What We Love
I fell in love with this puppy far too early on, I was bracing myself for heartbreak knwing he had a 1 in 8 chance of being my pick of the litter, but he just captivated me! I will be forever pinching myself that he in fact did turn out to be the pick of the litter, and I would say the best puppy ive produced to date! What is not to love!
Meet Akihito
Akihito, or "Hito" as we call him, has had my heart from the very beginning. At just three days old, he fell asleep in my hands, and from then on it became our little routine. Every day I would pick him up and he’d flop onto his back, completely relaxed and trusting, and drift off to sleep. As he got older and started to take in the world, he would gaze straight into my eyes with this quiet, knowing look. It was in those moments that I knew there was no way this puppy was going to anyone else.
As the litter grew and we began stacking puppies to assess their structure, Hito stood out time and time again. Week after week, he was my clear pick for conformation. He’s always been such a beautifully put together dog and such a blessing to watch develop. We ended up keeping both Hito and his brother Ryoutarou. While they aren’t far apart in type, their personalities couldn’t be more different. Hito takes after his mother Saki in drive and determination, with a strong prey instinct and a spark in everything he does, but you can also see his father Shoya’s calm and easygoing nature come through.
Hito is growing into a truly stunning young dog, full of presence and personality. He’s affectionate, intelligent, and already shows a deep connection to the people around him. I have no doubt he’s going to do incredible things and I feel so lucky to have him by my side as he grows.
